Description

Two houses with an adjoining barn, dating from the 17th century and built of hammer-dressed stone with a graduated stone slate roof. The buildings are arranged in three bays across two storeys, with a projecting barn to the right and a garage to the left gable. A parallel range was added to the rear in the 19th century to double the depth of number 10.

Number 8 (on the right) features a central door with a square-cut stone surround now partially hidden by a 20th-century porch. It has five-light and three-light recessed, flat-faced mullion windows on the ground floor, with two mullions removed from the five-light windows. The first floor windows are similarly designed, with four and three lights respectively, and one and two mullions removed. Number 10 has a blocked door with a square-cut surround, a five-light ground floor window, and a three-light first floor window, both with mullions removed as described for number 8. Three ridge chimney stacks are present.

The adjoining barn projects and features a square-cut door surround and a blocked cart entry with a segmental arch.
