Description

Higher Alt Hill Farmhouse is a house dated 1764, as indicated by the inscription "WAH 1764" on a recut shield above the door. The building is constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and has a 20th-century clay tile roof. It features three bays and two storeys, with small additions at the rear and to the left. The central door has a moulded surround and a decayed flat hood above it. The ground floor has three and five-light windows, while the first floor has three, two, and four-light windows, all with recessed cavetto-moulded stone mullions. There are gable chimney stacks and a small brick addition at the rear.
