Description
Pleasant View House and the adjoining barn wing are a house, cottage, and barn dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed of hammer-dressed stone, featuring a 20th-century tile roof for the cottage and a graduated stone slate roof for the barn. The cottage is a double-depth, two-bay, two-storey structure, positioned next to a double-depth, three-storey, two-bay house. The barn extends as an outshut to the left.
The cottage has a square-cut door surround in the first bay and three-light flat-faced recessed stone mullion windows in the second bay. The house also features a similar door surround and includes one two-light and four three-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows. There are two ridge chimney stacks, one of which has been heightened in brick. A small lean-to is located on the right side, along with a 20th-century porch extension that obscures part of the rear. The barn has stone quoins and various door and window openings.
