Description
Alphin House is a house built in the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features graduated stone slate and slate roofs. The building has two bays and is double-depth, standing two and three storeys high. There is a lean-to porch on the left gable and a 19th-century porch located between the two bays, which were built at different times.
Bay 1 includes a six-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion window on each floor, although one and four of the mullions have been removed, respectively. Bay 2 features five-light windows that are recessed on the ground and first floors, with three blocked lights and one removed mullion on the second floor. The right gable is rendered and has gable stacks.
