Description
Miniature Castle and Miniature Castle Cottage is a farmhouse and cottage built in the late 18th century, with some additions, including a mid-19th century facade. The building is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and coursed rubble, topped with 20th century clay tile and graduated stone slate roofs. It features three bays and two storeys, except for a three-storey tower in the first bay. There is a projecting plinth and a castellated parapet. The first bay has flat-faced three and two-light mullion and transom windows, along with projecting corner piers, a castellated parapet, and a decorative band. The second bay includes windows with stone surrounds and a square-cut door surround. The third bay, which has a higher parapet, displays an engraved stone that reads "Longdendale Miniature Castle."
