Description

No. 23 Ashworth Lane is a house dating from around 1800. It is constructed of squared rubble with a slate roof and features brick chimney stacks. This is a double-depth house that is one room wide and has three storeys. The entrance door is located to the left and has a square-cut stone surround. The ground floor has a three-light window, while the first floor has two two-light windows, all with recessed flat-faced stone mullions. The second floor features a six-light workshop window with flat-faced mullions, two of which are king mullions. The gable ends have ridge stacks, and the rear windows have generally been altered.
