Description

Nos. 19 and 21 Ashworth Lane are two houses built between 1790 and 1800 for Samuel Cook. They are constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and feature a graduated stone slate roof. Each house is one bay wide, double-depth, and has three storeys. The entrances are located to the left and right, each with square-cut surrounds. There are three-light recessed flat-faced mullion windows on each floor of both houses, which are also present on the rear. A large central ridge chimney stack made of brick is located on the roof.
