Description
No. 121 on Stamford Street is an early 19th-century house that has been converted into an office. It is built of Flemish bond brick and topped with a slate roof. The building features a double-depth plan with four bays and three storeys. Notable architectural details include a projecting plinth and an eaves cornice adorned with triglyphs. The entrance door in the second bay has a radial fanlight and is framed by a dentilled open pediment supported by three-quarter columns. To the left of the first bay, there is another door with a semi-circular head and a Gibbs surround. The first bay was added slightly later, and the left return was rebuilt in the 19th century. The sash windows have stone sills and flat brick arches, with only the top floor windows retaining their original glazing bars, although one has been replaced with a 20th-century casement. The building also features gable chimney stacks and has a small wing and outshut at the rear.
