Description

Routing Walls Bridge, also known as Number 21, is a road bridge located on the Peak Forest Canal, built between 1794 and 1801. It was engineered by Benjamin Outram and Thomas Brown. The bridge is constructed from dressed red sandstone with ashlar dressings. It features a horseshoe arch, an ashlar band, and concaved parapet and retaining walls that have rounded copings, which are finished with square piers.
