Description
German's Buildings consists of four cottages built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from English garden wall bond brick and topped with a slate roof. Each cottage is double-depth, single-bay, and has two storeys.
Cottages 1 and 3 feature a door and a three-light casement window on the ground floor, along with a two-light horizontally sliding sash window on the first floor. A large chimney stack is positioned between these two cottages. Cottages 5 and 7, which were built slightly later, each have a door and a three-light casement window beneath a cambered brick arch on the ground floor, a three-light casement window on the first floor, and two tall ridge chimney stacks. The eaves line of these cottages is higher than that of cottages 1 and 3.
