Description
The Vicarage to the Church of St George, built around 1900, is an irregular building designed in the Arts and Crafts style. It features two storeys and attics, constructed of red brick with a roof made of red tiles. The large house includes a canted bay and gables adorned with tumbled brickwork. A brick band runs between the storeys, and there is a stone doorway. The windows are fitted with glazing bars, hung sashes, and casements, and exhibit brick rustication and keystones. This vicarage is part of a larger church complex, which includes St George's Church, St George's Church of England Primary School, Secondary Modern Schools, a wall, and gate piers, all financed by George Fearn, a brewer.
