Description
Nos. 2, 4, and 6 Acton Square is a terrace of three houses, now used as offices, dating from the early 19th century. The buildings are constructed of brick and topped with a Welsh slate roof. They are two storeys high and feature a nine-window range, designed as a unit with a 1-7-1 configuration, where the outer bays are slightly advanced. Each house has a central entrance hall that leads to two principal rooms. The panelled doors are adorned with Ionic architraves and traceried fanlights, which are set back in shallow segmental arches. Each house also has 16-pane sash windows with flat-arched gauged brick heads on both floors and above the doorway. A continuous stone sill-band runs along the first floor, and there is a stone plinth at the base. The eaves are decorated with wood modillions, and there are end wall stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
