Description

The War Memorial in Albert Bentley Place is a Grade II listed structure, unveiled on 17 July 1922 to commemorate those who died in the First World War, with additions for the Second World War. It is constructed of white ashlar and features a pylon with volutes at its stepped base. The memorial includes inscriptions that honor the dead from both World Wars and has wreaths positioned below the cornice. At the top, it is surmounted by a sphinx.
