Description

The gazebo, located to the east of the Peel Building, was built around 1895. It is made of terracotta and has a square plan with single storey construction. Each corner features an octagonal turret topped with ogee domes, and there is a round-headed arch on each face of the structure. The roof is an ogee cupola design with a finial. This gazebo was constructed to conceal the outlet of a ventilation duct from the basement of the Peel Building, which previously housed the laboratories of the Technical College.
