Description
The Lodge of Weaste Cemetery is a cemetery lodge built around 1855, likely designed by Pritchett and Sons. It is constructed from coursed and squared rubble with ashlar dressings and features a scalloped Welsh slate roof with ridge cresting. The building is single-storeyed and has a gable on the left side, which includes an octagonal stack and angle buttresses, as well as a two-window return. To the right of the gable is a doorway set in a shouldered arch with a hoodmould, accompanied by paired trefoiled windows. Beneath the gable, there is a trefoiled arch that holds a plaque commemorating the foundation and extension of the cemetery, which is dated 1886 but may be placed over the earlier structure. There is also a rear wall stack. The interior has not been inspected.
