Description

The entrance gateway to the Dock Office, built around 1925 by Fairhurst, is made of concrete. It features a main arch with a smaller pedestrian side gate to the right, which is adjacent to the Dock Office building. The main gates have a flat arch, flanked by pylons that display blind incised and inlaid panels, along with bowls that resemble ships' keels, projecting from a plain cornice band. The side gate has a shallow segmental arch. The original gates have been replaced with a late 20th-century screen.
