Description

This is a house dating from the 1760s or later. It is constructed of rendered brick with a slate roof. The house is two bays wide and two storeys high, with a small wing at the rear. A 20th-century door, with a gabled canopy, is positioned off-centre and flanked by 20th-century replacement casement windows on both sides. The first-floor windows are similar in style. There are gable and ridge chimney stacks. A stone garden wall runs along the front. The house is included on the list for its group value, as the properties are believed to have been built by the 3rd Duke of Bridgewater for his canal workers and operatives.
