Description
32, 34 and 36 Broad Street is a terrace of three houses, now used for commercial purposes, dating from the early 19th century. The buildings are constructed of brick and topped with a Welsh slate roof. They are two storeys high and feature an eight-window range. The design is irregular, with a symmetrical central section of five bays that includes a pediment above the three central bays, which contain a central doorway. To the left is an advanced bay that serves as the entrance for No. 36, while the right side has a two-window range that appears to be a separate unit and likely a later addition, with a separate roof. The houses have 16-pane sash windows that have been renewed in their original openings, each with flat arched gauged brick heads. The entrances feature six-panelled doors set back in round-headed arches, complemented by wrought leaded fanlights. A modillion eaves cornice runs across the pediment, and there are stacks on the end walls. The interior has not been inspected.
