Description

Coppy Bridge is a bridge that crosses the Rochdale Canal, built between 1794 and 1804. It is constructed of coursed stone and was designed by the engineer William Jessop. The bridge features an elliptical keystone arch, a stone band, and a coped parapet. There are grooves for stop planks, and the detailing is almost identical to that of Belfield Bridge.
