Description

This is a late 18th-century house located on Rochdale Road, at its junction with Hartley Street. It is built of hammer-dressed watershot stone with a roof of graduated stone slate and slate. The house follows a single-depth plan with one bay and three storeys. An original entrance, now blocked, is on Hartley Street, featuring a square-cut surround and a three-light flat-faced mullion window to its right. The upper floors have six-light mullion windows, all with continuous sill bands. Square eaves gutter brackets are present. The roof features gable and ridge chimney stacks. A door is located in the left gable, with former sash windows above, now either casement windows or blocked.
