Description
The Watt Statue is a monument dedicated to James Watt, created in 1857 by William Theed the Younger. It features an ashlar pedestal and a bronze statue. The pedestal is rectangular with bowed ends, a moulded base, and a cornice. The bronze figure depicts Watt seated in a chair and is a copy of the statue by Chantrey located in Handsworth parish church.
