Description

The Peel Statue is a monument dedicated to Sir Robert Peel, created in 1853 by Calder Marshall. It features an ashlar pedestal with bronze statuary and has a rectangular plan. The base consists of three steps, with a bronze female figure seated at each end of the top step. At the center of the pedestal stands a figure of Sir Robert Peel. The front of the pedestal bears the inscription "PEEL."
