Description
This small house, located at 180 Ladybarn Lane in Fallowfield, Manchester, dates from the mid-19th century and has been altered. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a slate roof. The building has a double-depth, double-fronted plan with a gable facing the road. It stands two storeys high and has three windows arranged symmetrically. There is a square, flat-roofed porch, which was likely added later, that includes a round-headed doorway at the front and a round-headed blank arch on each side. Above the porch, there is a blind window. Each floor has two windows with raised sills and flat-arched heads, which are now all top-hung casements designed to imitate 16-pane sash windows. The gable ends have chimneys, and the right-hand gable facing the street features one window on each floor. This building is included for its group value.
