Description

A terrace of four houses, dating from the 1830s, forming part of a larger row. The houses are built of coursed and squared watershot stone, with slate roofs. They are two storeys high and have a four-window facade, with each house following a double-pile plan. The doorways have moulded architraves, and the original two-pane sash windows retain stone lintels, although some have been replaced. An angular stone moulding defines the eaves cornice, and end wall stacks are present. The interior has not been inspected. These houses were constructed as part of the planned industrial community of Eagley Bank, in association with Chadwick's Eagley Mills, located nearby on Park Row and Playfair Street.
