Description
95 Buttermarket Street is a detached house set back behind a garden, located to the left of the Trustee Savings Bank. It was likely built in the mid-19th century and has three storeys with a stuccoed front over a brick structure and a slate roof. The entrance features a glazed and panelled door framed by Tuscan columns and a cornice, all set within a moulded round arch that includes a round-headed fanlight. On the ground floor, there are two sash windows, and each upper floor has three sash windows, although the glazing bars have been removed. The centre window on the first floor is in a moulded case. This building is part of a group that includes the Cross Keys Public House, Nos 80 to 84 (even), the Roman Catholic Church of St Mary, the Trustee Savings Bank, and other buildings dated 1817, as well as Nos 2 to 6 (even) Dial Street.
