Description
Nos. 22-24 on Bridge Street is a late Victorian building made of terracotta and stands three storeys tall. The shop fronts are modern, but the first floor features three large semi-circular windows with blocked and moulded architraves, flanked by panelled pilasters. The second floor has six pairs of elliptical-headed windows. The building has a canted corner with single windows, located across the passage from Boots. At the top, there is a balustraded parapet, and the three gables in the middle have three circular eyes. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 11, 13, 30 to 45 (odd), The Lion Hotel, and Nos. 2, 4, 8 to 14 (even), as well as Nos. 16, 18, and 20.
