Description
The stable and cartshed building, constructed in 1866 by John Douglas, is located 20 metres south of Burford Lane Farmhouse in Lymm. It was likely built for R.E. Egerton-Warburton. The structure is made of brick and features a jettied oak-framed gable on the left side at the center of the hayloft, topped with grey slate roofs. This long building runs at right angles to the road. The stable openings, which were originally camber-arched, have been partly altered. The hayloft includes loophole vents and a circular pitch-hole. The lower cartshed has an open front supported by a cast iron pillar and a hipped end-gable facing the road. Additionally, there is a loose-box adjacent to the cartshed.
