Description
The former threshing barn, cartshed, and stables, located 15 metres south of Home Farm, dates from the mid 18th century. It is constructed of brick with oak-framed internal walls and has replaced roofs made of Hardrow cement slates. The south side features barn doors beneath an oak lintel, while the north side has inserted garage doors. Other doorways are camber-arched, and there are boarded doors present. A circular pitch-hole is located in the hayloft, along with loophole vents. An oak-framed partition separates the barn from the open cartshed on the left. The stable, positioned at right angles to the barn and featuring a hayloft above, has oak posts at the junction with the barn. The structure includes queen-strut trusses made of oak, one of which has an inserted king-post. This building is listed for its group value only.
