Description

The Hollies is a late 18th-century house made of brown brick and topped with a slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features three bays. The entrance is highlighted by a Doric fluted column doorcase, which includes a dental moulded frieze and an elegant radial bar fanlight. The windows are modern mullion style, equipped with stone sills and skewback heads. A stone band runs along the first-floor sill level, and there is a cornice with a blocking course at the top. The gables are adorned with copings. The property is noted to have been the former home of Ludwig Mond.
