Description
Nos. 103, 105, 107, and 109 on Highfield Road is a terrace of four two-storey cottages built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from brown brick and feature a slate roof with a tiled ridge and red brick chimney stacks. The cottages have a very heavy stone eaves cornice, painted white, with a modillion treatment. There is a stringcourse at the level of the first-floor window sills, and heavy label courses above the ground and first-floor windows and door heads. The windows are triple round-headed casements with 'Y' tracery at the top, although some have had their glazing bars removed. The original front doors also have round heads to match the windows.
