Description
Norton Lodge is a house that appears to be from the late 18th century or early 19th century, but it has origins dating back to the early 18th century. It is constructed of brown brick and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, with a stone plinth. The entrance includes a timber doorcase with a rectangular fanlight, a pulvinated frieze, and a pediment that contains a six-panelled door. The ground floor has recessed sash windows with glazing bars, stone sills, and flat arches. The west elevation features casement windows with turning pieces and cambered arches. Inside, there is a staircase with a cut and shaped bracketed string, a ramped handrail, and a curtail, along with six-panel doors.
