Description

Cape of Good Hope Farmhouse is a farmhouse, probably from the early 18th century. It is built of rendered brick and has a slate roof. The building features floor bands and stone-dressed gables, although the windows have been altered. An internal inspection was not possible, but a provisional list from 1965 mentions several interior features, including wide-boarded doors on H hinges, an ingle-nook with a stopped bevelled curved bressumer supported by added iron columns, a close-string staircase with turned newels, and original purlins, some or all of which are said to still be present.
