Description
The barn east of Yew Tree Farm House is a late 17th-century farm building. It features a brick-nogged timber frame and red brick construction, topped with an asbestos-cement sheet roof. The structure consists of three truss bays, with small framing timbers visible on the west gable and part of the rear (north) side. The barn has 20th-century half-heck doors and metal hopper light windows. Inside, the corner posts have jowls, and there are two trusses with curved struts supporting the purlins. The original purlins, ridge tree, and purlin wind braces are still intact. There are 20th-century brick additions to the north and east that are not of special interest.
