Description
Hulse Heath Farm House is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on Hulse Lane in Lach Dennis. It is constructed of brown brick in Flemish bond and features a roof made of old slates arranged in diminished courses. The building has two storeys, an attic, and a basement, with a three-bay facade. The entrance includes a six-panel door, where the small panels are positioned at the center, set within a pilastered doorcase that has a segmental radial bar fanlight above. The windows are recessed sashes with stone sills, wedge lintels, and glazing bars. A moulded timber gutter cornice runs along the eaves, and there are gable end stacks.
Inside, the back door is boarded and hung on strap hinges, with another boarded door on HL hinges. The interior features six-panel doors, one of which is made from reused oak, along with a softwood beam that has double quirked beads worked on the edges. The staircase is notable for its cut and bracketed string and panelled spandrel. On the first floor, there are additional six-panel doors with small central panels. The attic contains a wide boarded door on HL hinges, and the roof timbers are made of softwood.
