Small town house. c1860. Stone-dressed Flemish bond brown brick with grey slate roof, ridge parallel with front. Cellar, 2 storeys and attic; 2 bays. Rusticated 2-course sandstone plinth, probably older than the house, with cellar vent. Replaced framed and boarded door, right, with 4-pane overlight; tripartite 2;2;2-pane sash; sandstone string-course carried up as labels over door and window. The second storey has 2 dual 2;2;-pane sashes with sandstone sills and labels. The dormer gable, left, has kneelers and weathered stone coping, and small 4-pane attic sash with stone sill and label. The first storey of the north-east end has a small-2-pane sash and stringcourse, carried round from front, rising over a tripartite 2;2;2-pane sash; boarded door in lean-to addition. The rear has a 12-pane sash with stone sill and lintel to the second storey and 2 small-pane attic sashes in gable with kneelers and weathered stone coping. INTERIOR not inspected. Included for group value for its streetscape quality and position.
