Description
The south and east terrace wall at Willington Hall was built around 1830 for Colonel W. Tomkinson. It is constructed from ashlar and dressed red sandstone blocks. The plain stone wall features moulded coping and is divided by square piers. On the left end of the south side, there is a projecting section that supports a balustrade and a semi-circular vantage point with a solid parapet, which includes fielded square and oval panels. There is a flight of six steps on the right side. The east wall is shaped and has a semi-circular projection with 20th-century railings that enclose a sundial.
