Description
Russia Hall is a former farmhouse and cottage, now functioning as a farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century with a mid-19th century addition and alterations. The building is constructed of Flemish bond orange brick with yellow headers and features a Welsh slate roof along with three brick chimneys, one of which projects from the west gable. It has a long rectangular plan and is three storeys high with a five-bay front. There is a raised band at the first floor level. The windows are four-pane sashes with flat wedged stone heads and stone sills. The second bay includes a simple wooden architrave, panelled reveals, and a plain fanlight above a half-glazed door, while the fourth bay has a doorway that is now blocked with a 20th-century window. Inside, there is a heavy chamfered beam with a tongue stop.
