Description
The Old Glass House is a house dating from the early 18th century, which was extended and partly remodeled in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond orange brick and features a Welsh slate M-shaped roof, along with four chimneys that have stone copings and octagonal Tudor-style pots. The building has a two-storey, four-bay front with a raised band at the first floor.
At the center of the front is a two-storey gabled porch topped with a pointed finial. In front of this porch is a lower timber structure with an open truss, leading to a four-board door and fanlight. Above the door, there is a two-light window with sash in each light. To either side of the porch, there are similar two and three-light windows, and a 12-pane sash window is located at the left end. A parallel range has been added to the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
