Description

A farmhouse and attached farm buildings, dating to the mid-17th century, were altered and converted in the mid-19th century. The structure is built of sandstone rubble, with roughcast to the front and Atworth House whitened. Painted quoins and dressings are present, and the roofs are slate-covered, with one roughcast stack serving each dwelling.

The exterior presents two storeys, with one window facing the front of each cottage and two windows facing the front of the house. Atworth House has a central half-glazed door within a gabled porch that features copings and kneelers. The cottages have four-panel and six-panel doors, all within painted surrounds. Windows throughout are two-light horizontal sliding sashes; the cottages feature six panes in plain surrounds, while the house has four panes. Openings on both floors are beneath continuous lintel bands, with the ground floor lintel being scalloped over all openings.

The interior contains exposed softwood ceiling joists and winder staircases.
