Description
The Farm, which now functions as a bank and house, dates back to 1616 and has undergone alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is possibly timber-framed and is currently roughcast on brick, topped with a slate roof featuring coped gables and rendered stacks.
The exterior showcases a two-storey, four-bay front that jetties at the first floor, with a cross-gabled left end bay. There is a single-storey square porch extension at the angle of the cross gable, which contains a panelled door. To the right of the porch, the house door is glazed and panelled. The windows are primarily 10/10 sashes, with two located on the first floor in gabled half dormers; one of these half dormers features a 12-pane window with a 4-pane wing light. Above the house door, there is a glazed oculus. A tablet in the cross gable is dated and inscribed with "A.E." An external stack runs full height on the left return. A lower parallel wing has been added to the rear, creating a double depth plan.
Inside, the building retains exposed ceiling beams and joists, along with a curved fire beam. The doors are mounted on strap hinges.
