Description
The Midland Bank, located in Neston, is a house that has been converted into a bank. It dates from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of brown brick, featuring both stretcher bond and English garden-wall bond, with a squared sandstone plinth and quoins. It has a slate roof with coped gables, kneelers, and a brick stack.
The exterior consists of two storeys and an attic, with a two-window front that has quoined gables set on a high plinth. On the right side, there is a plain door with a narrow rectangular overlight, while on the left side, there is a single plate glass window. The first floor features 6/6 sash windows, and the attic has a single unequal 3/6 sash window. All openings are topped with 1-course segmental brick arches. On the left return, there are original stone mullion windows, which are now blocked.
Inside, there is a chamfered beam in the front room.
