Description

The tombchest of John Nevett Bennett, dated 1787, is located 8 meters south of the south porch of St Michael's Church. It is made of buff sandstone and has a rectangular shape. The long sides feature two plain panels surrounded by gadrooning, while the short sides have a single panel. The flat top slab is adorned with double cyma-moulding and an inscription in deeply cut serifed lettering.
