Description
Little Sutton Station, built around 1862, is a two-storey railway station designed in the Tudor style. It is constructed of squared coursed rock-faced rubble sandstone and features coped gables topped with ball finials. The station has tall chimneys that reduce in size, with moulded plinths and caps. The roofs are covered with grey Welsh slate and have lead roll ridges. A porch with a pointed entrance arch adds to its character. On the north platform, there is a recessed canopy supported by cast iron round columns adorned with raised strapwork. To the east of the main building, there is a single-storey stone shed that matches the station's style. Additionally, a stone passenger shelter on the south platform, also in a similar style, has coped gables with ball and spike finials and features a glazed front. The platforms are stone fronted, and the station has seen little alteration over the years.
