Description

Approximately 1835, 354 and 356 Chester Road are a pair of semi-detached, two-storey, three-window houses. They have stuccoed brick walls and gabled roofs covered with grey Welsh slate, featuring boxed eaves supported by plain brackets. The front gables are topped with open pediments. A plain string course runs along the first-floor level. Projecting round-arched porches are present. The diminishing chimneys have separated flues made of brown brick at the upper level. Window openings are framed by moulded plaster architraves with plaster pediments resting on consoles. The front features recessed, three-light, nine-pane windows, with narrower panes to the sides. Replacement doors have been installed. Rear windows have been altered to maintain the original character. The interiors have not been inspected.
