Description
This is a section of the Roman quay wall located immediately south of the narrower public steps from Nun's Road (the steps themselves are not included in this description). The wall dates from the Roman period, likely from the 2nd century. It consists of three courses of Roman ashlar stones topped with bull-nosed coping, and it has been repaired. The wall measures 17 meters in length.
