Description
The garden walls surrounding the garden to the west side of Peel Hall date from the early to mid-17th century. They are constructed of irregular bond red brick, accented with buff sandstone dressings. The stone base supports a brick wall that is approximately 1.1 meters high, topped with triangular and bead-moulded coping. There are small gates on all three sides of the garden. The north side features a mounting block made of five stone steps on the inside, while the south side has a blocked original gateway flanked by low stone piers, which have flush cyma-moulded capstones.
