Description

April Cottage is a cottage dating back to the 17th century or earlier, with alterations from the 19th century and a later 20th-century addition. It is constructed of rendered stone with a thatched roof, and features a gable brick chimney. The cottage originally had a 2-room plan, with the entrance positioned against the fireplace. It is a 1-storey and attic building with a 3-bay front. The left-hand bay has a 20th-century door in the original doorway position. Below are two small 3-light wooden casement windows, and above are two small windows, one of which is swept over by the thatch. A 20th-century extension is located on the left-hand side. The interior was not inspected.
