Description
This is a row of seven cottages dating from the early 19th century, located on the west side of London Road in Northwich. The cottages are constructed of brown brick laid in a Flemish bond pattern, with pale brick headers. They have a graded grey slate roof, and are two stories high. Each cottage has a door consisting of four fielded panels, which is topped by an oblong overlight. The overlights have 12 panes, except for the one at number 268. The doors are set within moulded wooden surrounds. There are two basket-arched entrances. Each cottage has recessed sash windows with 12 panes, wedge lintels, and projecting stone sills. Eight chimneys rise from the ridge of the roof. Number 268 is double-fronted, while the other cottages are single-bay in width; however, each of the single-bay cottages also has a sash window above each entrance. The interior of the cottages has not been inspected.
