Description

The table tomb of John Burke is located in St Peter's churchyard, 8 metres south of the east bay of the nave. This small stone table tomb dates from around 1713. It features a plain base and a slab that is inscribed with a winged angel at the head. The inscription reads, "Here Lyeth Interred the Body of John ... Burke of Aston Who departed this Life December Ye 24 1713," although the "3" in the date is uncertain.
