Description
The wall around Aston Gardens, likely built in the late 18th century, is constructed of brown brick in an English garden wall bond. It features triangular buttresses on both the inner and outer faces. The wall stands approximately 4 metres high, consisting of about 49 courses, and has a plain rectangular stone coping. It is 0.5 metres thick, contains flues, and was heated. The wall encloses a garden that measures around 140 by 110 metres and is a well-preserved example, although the furnaces are no longer present. The central section of the west-facing wall is thickened. This wall forms the garden for Aston Hall.
